My name is Leena Groff, and I live in Oshawa, Ontario. I’m a photographer with a preference for macro nature and portrait photography.
I’m currently a student at Durham College, located in Oshawa, in the Digital Photography program. I really enjoy exploring different techniques and trying new types of photography.
I’ve been taking photos since I was around 6 years old, but I only really got into photography when I was 16. I enjoy getting creative with any subject I photograph, whether it be close-ups of flowers, or shots of the beautiful people in the world around me.
One thing I love about being a photographer is trying to capture emotions. This can be done more easily when my subjects are people, but when shooting nature this can be more difficult. Having this as a challenge always gets me excited to go out and take photos.
One of my favourite things I have done as a photographer was visiting Parkwood Estate in Oshawa. It was amazing to be at such a beautiful location and capture some interesting shots.
When I’m not out shooting, I enjoy drinking tea and watching cooking shows. I also love animals, like dogs and cats.
